Lenovo purchase gone bad
Hello,
Heres the story, Ill try to be brief. I bought this computer K330-77273GU on 6/1.Lenovo - IdeaCentre - Desktop PCs - K Series- K330 Had a code for 20% off so I paid $800 for it. (Feel free to comment on the computer.) Needed it fairly quick so I shopped a bit but didn't dig too deep. My bad. After I received it I found this forum and started digging. Wanted to know exactly what was inside for upgrades later and I just wanted to know.
I found out Intel recalled some motherboards back in Jan. or Feb. I believe, but was shipping new mobos with the problem corrected. I have this mobo but said to myself surly the BRAND NEW COMPUTER I BOUGHT DIRECTLY FROM LENOVOS WEB SITE must have the new mobo. I sat on this info for a while but it bugged me so I called today. Guess what, I HAVE THE OLD MOBO.
I was told by the operator that the mobo could be replaced, the computer could be replaced or I could receive a refund. He gave me another number to call when I make a decision. Haven't called yet. What a way to do business. How long will they continue to sell computers with this defective mobo?
I realize the problem is with sata ports 2-5 and I am only using 0-1 now, but really. One of the reasons I gave Lenovo a shot was the IBM name behind it. That worked out well for me.
So now after Ive slowly installed my programs and data so if I had a problem I would know the culprit, I have to start all over. Thing is I was liking the computer.
Feel free to comment on the computer, Lenovo, the service, what you would do or what ever. I think they should send me the $1400 model. I bought the $1000 one.
Thanks
