Alright since I didn't see anything about mobile devices in the main page, I guess I will post it here. Anywho, I have an LG Incite. I sync it all the time with my home PC for music and everything. Up until I installed Windows 7, everything was working fine. With windows 7 involved however, it seems that I keep getting an agitating problem with my Windows Media Player mobile. I haven't seen anyone else complaining about it and I am not too hopeful for a solution, seeing as how Windows Media Player was never Microsofts strong suits, but I want to see if everyone else is having this particular problem.
Whenever I play music on my device it plays only some of the files. Others I press play from the now playing list or my playlist and it switches to the Windows Media Player GUI and it doesnt play the song, even if the button says its playing. I have to go back to the now playing list, press play there again on the song in order to get it to play. And after the song is done. It stops playing, and doesnt go on to anymore songs until i switch it myself from the now playing list or playlist. Sometimes, the songs don't even play, it just gives me an error message saying that the song was not found. It changes everytime I format my Micro SD card. Some songs are the problem and others arn't. And it siwtches except for a few. I found a couple of reasons why this could be happening.
1) Phone is acting up and have to call in a warrenty
2) Need a hard reset
3) SD card may be defective
4) Windows Media Player 12 converting system or sync system is faulty.
I found a temporary solution though. I tried a new SD card. I synced it without converting any of the songs, and so far it works. I tried the new card with converting songs and the same problem happened. But again I cannot be sure what the true cause is. I have yet to try syncing with Vista. My theory is just Windows Media Player 12. If anyone else knows better, please let me know. This post i mainly to pinpoint the problem and hopefully Microsoft will be able the patch it... with the right incentive. This post is also to see if anyone else has had the same problem with their windows Mobile device. Cheers.
