Windows 7: Keyboard issue = Ctrl, Tab when combined with other keys

Hi

Play online games and try and keep this simple to explain what is happening.

For movement use the keyboard on keys :

a (left), s (backpedal), d (right), e (forward).

Other keys used in the game

shift (walk not run), ctrl (duck/crouch), tab (scoreboard)

When pressing shift + a(or s,d,e) in game movement will walk forward instead of run. This is correct and expected.

When pressing ctrl + a(or s,d,e) in game movement should duck/crouch and move.
What is happening is incorrect the ctrl key ducks/crouchs but the direction key(s) have no effect.
Expected should duck and move in the direction pressed.

The TAB key should bring up the scoreboard. Again when pressing TAB whilst holding down a direction key (a,s,d,e) it should enagage both and keep moving whilst showing the scoreboard. It doesn't work. Have to stop direction and then press TAB and scoreboard displays.

This, I am pretty sure, is a windows issue and not an in game issue.

I have tried uninstalling the jeyboard, detaching and rebooting to reinstall. But the same thing happens.

Checked repeat key speed settings all fine.

Any help appreciated.

Using Microsoft1031 Digital Medtia Pro keyboard with iType. Again checked all settings in itype.

OK Found my own solution. Gave up too soon.
