AMD bulldozer release date?

Anyone heard anything? I was planning on upgrading to an i7 but might stay with AMD if the chip is released anytime soon.

Im not sure but im really hoping they will be out before the month is over though.

I dont know much about the chip, just that it is suppose to be 50% faster than an i7 (hope so)

What makes it so special?

I believe it's supposed to be 50% faster than the current AMD 6 cores. Its performance will hopefully be better than an i7...but I think 50% is really pushing it.

The last thin i heard was August. And, I'm not sure that was offical. It was supposed to be either June or July, but they said they were having trouble with performance issues and put it off. They have released 2 of the FM1 chips though. That's a good sign.
