what i feel so is taking amd processor can be a good choice if you want to save money with a little compromise in the quality but what i feel like is you should upgrade your ram to 3 gb at least for getting handy performance

Without a graphics card, you can get away with a 300 Watt PSU - may save a few inr. But I would also vote for 3GB of RAM.

I agree with this as well :) It also leaves the option to buy a graphic card at a later date.

    Guys you have misunderstood me..
Surely he will buy a gfx card and better his ram..but for now he can't afford it...!
So is the above config worth buying...?
Or any better processor and mo bo at this price range...?

And thank you all for reply..

The setup you have will work, But I also agree about the ram. I don't know about the prices and availability in your country, but here for $15 more (US) he could get a Phenom II X4 955. The difference would be worth the extra money.

every thing is worth buying but it will annoy you if it will work slowly initially,,, so its better to go for increment of the ram initially it wont cost much

The only one I could find in that price is Intel Core i3-540 Clarkdale 3.06GHz. It is actually a 2 core processor with hyperthreading. Same price here.
