    The drivers are essential for your disk to function. However, you are probably not talking about the drivers but about the additional software with a graphical user interface that is used to set up RAID Settings etc. That you do not need to run all the time. If I'm not mistaken, once your HDD works well, you do not have to have the gui in your startup programs. You should even be able to deinstall the gui if you want.

    As far as I know, that is Intel's raid storage system, but also includes the IaStor driver. If you are not using raid but want the driver, You can install it and disable it in services.msc. By doing that you will get the iastor driver but not have the IRST running.

    Thanks guys!!! I just disable it from start up, and that's it, my computer is booting way batter now without Intel Rapid Storage Technology software. Thanks fro your hints :)
