Thanks Joe. That did increase my WEI score from 2.9 to 5.4.
I guess I need to re-enable the write catch after the test, right?
Changing this setting will increase the HDD WEI scores in many systems, not all. If you want to restore the setting to default, it won't hurt anything.

Not sure to be honest, possibly the drivers for your motherboard are not fully compatible with Windows 7.

You should use device manager instead of "devices and printers".

Did you reboot after disabling write caching before running the WEI test again?

To increase your Windows 7 Beta HDD WEI score (in many systems):

    1. Control panel>hardware & sound>device manager
    2. Under disk drives, find your main drive
    3. Right click your main drive and select properties
    4. Policies tab, uncheck the "enable write caching on this device"
    5. Click ok, and re-run your WEI

Tried this again and I got a 5.9, THANKS!
