Hi there just wondering if I should run my hdd's via the 6GBPS stat port or the 3gbps port they are Western Digital Elements 1TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive - Black: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories Removed from the enclosure and Samsung F3 HD103SJ 1TB internal Hard Drive SATAII 32MB Cache 7200RPM ? There is no reason to run them on the 6-Gbit SATA revision 3 ports since those drives are both 3-Gbit SATA revision 2 drives.

TVeblen is right. There is no mechanical hard drive that can run 3GB/s much less 6GB/s. They are not capable of running that fast. Only some SSD drives can do that.
