    laptop battery icon

I've only had this laptop for 2 months. It's a samsung RV 511, Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, 500 GB HDD, 4 GB RAM. I've just noticed that when the battery is low, I plug in charger, the battery icon shows that is charging by the blinking of the battery. After a few minutes it stops blinking but still keeps charging. Is there some sort of setting to activate the blinking activity of the charging icon. New to the laptop seen...

Have a look at the Samsung site, they may have some sort of proprietary power plan to adjust this. Also right click the Taskbar/Properties/notification Area/Customize to see if that icon has a setting available.

I've looked in there and there's nothing. I have contacted Samsung tech support and and they had me do the basic trouble shooting techniques, which I all ready preformed. Unplug from surge protector and plug directly into AC wall outlet, take out battery and connect charger directly, recalibrate battery and still nothing. Everything works as it should mechanically, just the icon shows it's charging for a few seconds then stops but charging continues. It's just annoying. To be honest, I don't know if it did it when I first got it, really never paid attention to it. For what ever reason it just caught my eye now. Thanks for the help.
