HP webcam not working in Win7 ultimate

I have a HP HDX 16t laptop with a built in webcam. The webcam worked fine until I fresh installed Windows 7 ultimate. All other devices are working fine. In the device manager I get an error: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" I have installed every possible driver on the hp website but still no luck. I even installed the HP webcam software in compatibility mode in the Vista service pack 2 setting and still no luck. I used " Uniblue Driver Scanner" and updated the usb drivers and it found the webcam but after a reboot it was gone. If the webcam failed then would it show up in the device manager as an unknown device? I don't think it would so I think its a driver issue and not a bad webcam. I have been trying to figure this out for a month now. If there is anyone out there that has solved this problem please let me in on the secret. Thanks....
