    Pen drive format problem.

I have tried to format a pen drive. I have taken ownership of drive but I am still unable to format it. Any help appreciated.

Go to the properties of the drive, and uncheck the read-only option.

Aha, than go to the security tab and add administrators to it.
Then allow full controll for both Admins and 'everyone'.
If that doesn't work you can use unlocker, open the pendrive and select everything then right click and unlock, then select delete.

Copy the files you need from the device to your computer and open Disk Management. Right click your device and format it from there. If that still doesn't work, format it as FAT32/exFAT rather than NTFS.
