can you try plugging it into a different port.
failing that do a system restore to before it stopped being recognized , this happened to me and restore worked.

have u tried a diff computer to plug it into the check this?

if this would be the 3rd item lost due to this, i would speak to M$ as goods are not fit for pupose, warning though they dont abide by sales of goods act so u need to push, i had to speaking to trading standards about them as they like using bully tactics ( assuming you have the same in nepal)

thank you for you suggestion but.the problem started when i plugged it into another computer in a fifa11 competetion about 2 months ago.since then my 1 jostick failed to work.then only 1 week ago my 2nd joystick failed when i plugged into the computer in the 2nd competetion.since then they both have the same problem error code 43.i dont know what has happend and there is no office for microsoft in nepal so there is no chance to complain.please any other things.and will it work if i format my computer????

Hi, One solution i have seen that seems to work most of the time is:
    1) Shut down laptop/Pc

    2) Unplug(Disconnect from power source)

    3) Remove battery(laptop only)

    4) Go make a cup of coffee

    5) Reboot

You need to allow any residual power in the system to be discharged, (i.e capacitors)

    Hope it helps

20 days is not a great deal of time to restore back, updates will come back and check to see what programs will be affected by the restore. i gave you a link in my previous post for a tutorial on how to restore, restore wont format your computer but take it back to how it was 20 days ago.
