    Third internal sata not shown

I installed a 3rd sata internal drive, from my old computer, in new Dell Win7 32bit. Windows will not recognize it. Tried rescan disc in disc manager no luck. Turned computer off and on several times no luck.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

I will shut down and enter BIOS. I believe that is how to do it.

As was suggested, have you checked or changed all cables... SATA (data) as well as power supply cable going to the new drive? All connectors pressed in firmly, to drive and motherboard?

Maybe just for an experiment, swap the known-working data/power cables that go to your second SATA drive, temporarily connecting them to your new third drive. Again, get into BIOS setup at boot time and see if the third drive is now visible in the HD list and/or boot sequence configuration for choosing.

Is there a BIOS setting that limits or sets the max number of active SATA connectors on the mobo?

I think maybe you are right about the cable. It started to recognize the drive and then it stopped. I am going to buy a new cable and try it again.
The drive has never shown in the BIOS.

The hard drive is not initialized. When I tried to initialized it said cyclic redundancy error. The drive does not have a letter so I can not access the drive. Should I just throw away the drive?

    Try Initializing the disk.

When I tried to initialized before it said cyclic redundancy error. Now the initialize choice will not react to the right click.
