I want to change coolers for my up comming procesor that is all and maybe cool the cpu by a few degrees with a better quality one
My opinion, which isn't shared by that many here, is to wait and see what your new processor does either with the cooler you have or the cooler that it comes with. A few degrees on a CPU may or may not make any tangible difference whatsoever. When overclocking, you have to take extra precautions to ensure that your chip doesn't get too hot...but often without overclocking the stock cooling is perfectly sufficient.

If you have a CPU that can get to 62 degrees, but runs at say 52 at load...it won't really make things any better if you can get it to 48 at load. On the other hand, if under load you hit 65...and with a better cooler you can get 55 degrees...then it's worthwhile.

Personally, i like to save my money and invest in other areas rather than extravagant cooling solutions when they are not required. My principal is KISS (Keep it Simple Stupid). Enthusiasts however are usually on the other side of the fence and often stop at nothing to get just a little more. Nothing wrong with either approach, just radically different.

I understand i should take a few snips of idle and on load but i can tell you it gets to about 12.points higher or degrees higher on load

Right now I am on 37.5 c When i been gaming for atleast 1 to 2 hours i check my temps they end up being round 47-48 c which isn't a big difference

my gpu goes to 62c and idle it is 46c I think i have decent cooling for a slight oc from 3.4 to 3.8 supposedly tj max is 99c that's pretty damn hot if you ask me
