Screen Freezes possible WLAN card issue

    Hi

    Havn't been here for a while but I now have a big issue... I run a Win7 64bit PC...

My screen has started to freeze contantly and my only common issue here is my WLAN card (ANATEL). When the PC is stable (ish) the WLAN card dissapears and there is no option through network setings to check it's properties. It's intermittent except it seems to have permanently vanished now. I use my PC only on wireless and not through the LAN.

Since the WLAN card has stopped working I'm not getting any screen freezes (at the moment) .. the only big install recently was the SP1 for 64bit which loaded last week.

I have now removed the WLAN card and now looking into a new one but maybe the problem is a simple one or maybe more to do with the motherboard.... who knows! Any ideas would be appriciated.
    Thanks

    Hello,

I assume that you have the latest drivers for said WLAN card? If not that is your first port of call.

I had a similar issue with a WLAN card on Vista years ago, intermittent freezing etc. Newer drivers helped but the manufacturer was slow at releasing fully compatible drivers. I returned the card.

If you have the latest (and certified drivers) then it may be hardware specific faults.

Are you able to remove the card and try it in a non Win7 PC?
