Error Code 0xc0aa301 (New DVD Drive On Laptop)

I keep getting the following error code:

0xc0aa301

I get this code when I try to burn ISO images. I just installed a new DVD drive last week. however I have burned with this drive but not ISO images. Any ideas how to fix the issue or resolve it.

The below thread might do the trick - some suggestions i noticed - firmware upgrade - use igm burn - microsoft fix etc - post back if one of the fixes works

Here's a trick to get a firmware upgrade to install on Windows 7 if you receive an error and it wont install :
To install a driver/program or Firmware in compatibility mode - right click the setup.exe file - click properties - click compatibility - check run in compatibility with vista etc - check run as administrator - leave the rest blank. Start setup.exe and install.

*Another solution you might try firstly if applicable - if you have AHCI enabled in the bios and haven't installed the Intel Matrix Storage Manager - it could be a storage driver that needs updating - Go here and downolad this version :

No dice on igm burn. I tired so I going to go to sleep. I will try the other fixes tomarrow. Thanks.
