Windows 7: Event Error 6008

I get an Event Error 6008 on my desktop that I personally built. When the weather was cooler the computer ran fine. Now that it is summer time (I live in CA and its about 100 outside and 80ish in the house) it shuts down when I'm running high resource stuff such as games and multi-tasking if I don't use a 6inch room fan to blow are directly into the case. I also got a pretty beefy head sink and fan for the CPU and that didn't solve the problem. Any advice?

it's my guess one component is generating more heat than the others.
First up would be graphics card.
If you can figure out which component is pushing the most heat you can direct your airflow a bit better, beyond that I don't really know.

If you can fix the issue by blowing a fan into the case then it indicates that you have an airflow issue. The common causes are:

• Dust & debris - Use compressed air to blow dust out of the fins on the CPU heatsink, graphics card, power supply, and inside the case generally.
• Case is too small for components - if you've got a big gaming video card shoe-horned into a small case then it may be time for a gaming case. If you are running multiple hard drives, which put out a lot of heat each, you need to compensate with a bigger case.
• Case is poorly designed - fans are too small, not enough fans, airflow pattern not considered.
• Poor location - I've seen people put their cases into cramped little compartments, up againt walls with the air vents completely blocked, or they are covered with clothes and books, sitting in direct sunlight, on top of heat registers, etc, etc.

What type of temprature monitoring software are you using if any to identify the source? There are quit a few out there.
