Oh, didn't know it was a laptop. In that case, make sure the vent holes in the bottom and sides are free of dust and clogs.
win7build7600,
Please consult the computer mfg for the meaning of the 3 beep code you are getting.
Let us know the result.
It would seem that you have an issue with memory (3-beep code). Have you changed or replaced anything recently?

Could also be a loose module, particularly if the laptop has taken a bounce recently. Instructions to re-seat modules in the link.
Good luck!
Also with all the great advice being posted, I recommend using a chill mat with any and all laptops. I use the Targus chill mat, it's quite, lite and very comfortable.

What are you doing when the 3 beeps happen? If the 3 beeps are RAM related are you positive the CPU is hot?
If you have it on your lap you could be blocking the air vents too, smae if on a soft cusion or a bed.
Hi guys! Thanks for all the replys and what not. For reference, I DID clean out my vents and stuff with an air compressor. I am going to use a more targeted clean out today when I get my air duster. Also, It could be a RAM issue. I did not recently replace/take out RAM. The problem is that my computer freezes, I'm not sure what it is. I do get the beeping, but no freezing after I cleaned out the processor fan. But when my computer first starts up, my programs that start with it, (skype, MSN messenger, antiviruses, and audio manager) freeze up and don't respond. This is really puzzling me. I hope I don't have to get a new computer
Once again,
Thanks everyone for the help!
win7build7600,
Please consult the mfg of your computer for the meaning of the beeps.
That problem MUST be addressed FIRST.
