RAM Missing?

I just came home from a 4 week trip and when I turned my computer on, it was outrageously slow. Couldn't play games, couldn't browse properly, etc. When I check up on my specs, I noticed that out of the 3gb of RAM that I have, only 511 MB are usable. Here's a picture of the Resource Monitor for reference:

Before my trip, the computer was completely fine dealing with 3gb of RAM, just not anymore.

Any fix?

Look for memory remapping in your BIOS and enable it

As best as I can tell, that is perfectly normal. the hardware reserved is not being used, it is just available to be used by the hardware when needed, which is exactly what you need, you are only using 432MB, it's all there.

You have some issue in Action Center, the flag with the red X in the task bar, click it and read the messages. Your computer date is way off too, that could be causing your issues. You may have a dead CMOS battery on the motherboard.

Still in Resource Monitor, check the Disk and CPU tabs to see what is taking resources or CPU cycles.

Just an FYI....

Depending on geographical location of the OP, that date may be correct.

01/08/2011 = DD/MM/YYYY

08/01/2011 = MM/DD/YYYY

have you tried resetting the CMOS? Or try and use the memory diagnostic tool too if there is any memory issues if that helps
