    This device can perform faster

I just received a 7 port usb in the mail that I ordered from eBay, condition is new and all. But when I plug in my usb devices such as thumb drives, I receive the error

I only receive the error when I plug in my usb devices to the usb hub, but I don't receive the error I plug in my devices into the usb ports on my laptop.

Any ides on how I can resolve this?

Also, I have the option to disable the error notification, I haven't disabled it just yet since I'm still searching for a solution on how to resolve this issue.

    Any help is appreciated.

I can think of two things, it may need external power or the hub is USB 1.1?

Also contact the seller about the issue.

It appears to be USB 2.0 from the specs. Go to Device Manager and see if the hub has the yellow caution icon on it, may be 7 of them. Right click each one then Update Driver, Search Automatically. See if you can get a newer/better driver.
Otherwise I think the hub may be defective.

Go to device manager and expand USB serial bus controllers (usually the last entry) see if any of the entries says 'enhanced' in them. That means you have USB 2.0. Right click and select properties and click on the drivers tab, and as Britton30 said, click on the update driver button.
