Windows 7 not starting up

Hello

My problem is very similar to this guy's problem:
Windows 7 not booting up. pls HELP

It started with me interrupting a startup forcefully (which I now regret badly), then....

"i restarted it, but it gave me the information; "Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause". I was given the option to either 'Launch startup repair' or 'Start windows normally'...If I select 'Launch startup repair', it leads me to a blank screen with a cursor then stays there until forever, if i select 'Start windows normally', it leads me to the Microsoft logo/'Starting windows' and just stays there for a while until it restarts." -mbonez

However, after the microsoft logo, I can see the screen changing for a split second, I can't see what it shows clearly... a blue screen?

mbonez thread suggest an iso to repair, I tried it and it tells me that there are some corrupted sectors with the non-hitachi HD. So I checked my HD model:
WD 2500BEVS

What should I do to repair it =/? Is there an iso for my WD HD?

Thanks in advance

I downloaded their HD repair iso. But it had a problem: the license file (dlglice.txt) is missing (many people are facing this problem). So I used Ultimate Boot CD to diagnose the HD using a WD software. After a long scan it told me that the corrupted sector could not be repaired .

Do I have to go and pay for this to get repaired?

Did you download the ISO or zip file?

Try the EXTENDED TEST.

I've gone through a lot now...
I clean installed Vista. Currently running an extended test...

My new concern is if I could recover my files =/ is that possible?

I believe you said you have Hiren's boot CD. They have programs there for that but you will have to have some place to put them. If you have Windows 7 installation DVD, or could borrow one you can try to recover them from the recovery console. Sometimes putting the hard drive in an external enclosure will allow you to recover some or all of the data. It will really depend on how damaged the hard drive is.
