DF, I'm gettin' confused by some of your responses. If I use the 32 bit IE browser, everything works fine. But I would like to use the 64 bit IE browser, mostly because it's suppose to be faster/better. But I'm having a printer problem when trying to print web stuff with the 64 bit IE browser.
Do you have a suggestion on what might be wrong with my ability to print (on-line)whilst in the 64 bit IE browser?
Thanks, Jim, this makes some sense.IE9-64bit is a crippled version. You should use IE9-32bit as MS put their effort into the 32bit version and only token effort into the 64bit version. IE9-64bit still has the old engine from IE-8 and its performance is slower then the 32bit version. Don't know what the problem with printing is but the best choice is to stick with the 32bit version. Maybe this will change when IE10 is released.

That's the point we've been trying to make. The 64 bit browser is not faster or better. In fact, it's worse because many plug-ins, such as Flash, and maybe how it interprets a page to be printed aren't quite ready.
There's no reaosn to use the x64 browser, and one of the first things I do on a new system is delete the shortcuts for it. That's they the 32 bit one is the default.
You have been confusing some things in your responses, so to be clear, the browser is completely different than the platform of Windows you are using. Windows 7 32 bit comes with 32 bit IE. Windows 7 64 bit comes with 32 bit IE and 64 bit IE. That's why, when you said you couldn't print the web page from Windows 7 x64, I asked which browser you were using.
So, make sure you are using the 32 bit browser in Windows 7 64 bit, and try printing the page again...then let us know how it went.

You can use (as I do myself without problem) the 64bit IE browser. As some have said, flash (a thing most browsers need to display much of its content) is not ready for IE 64 bit. However, you can download the 64bit beta version found here and see how it works for you.
But if you'd like to keep matters simple, you can stick with IE 32 bit (also called x86). Then you'd be able to use a non-beta flash, and many addons (IE calls them activeX) are made only for 32 bit browser at this point in time. Also, if you right click IE9 32 bit, you get more menu options than if you right clicked IE9 64 bit. I myself haven't noticed much of a speed difference between IE9 64 and 32 bit, but its the principle of the matter (I have x64 operating system, would like x64 browser). I cannot wait for IE10 x64
You might play around with both browsers to get a feel for them, see which you like better. I hold no complaints that IE9 64 bit isn't supported enough, as I only really need (beta) flash player. Adding too many extra activeX addons only serves to slow down a computer's browser. But that brings us back to your printer not working on it. When you install your printer's drivers, make sure that you select a custom install, and do NOT install anything that mentions browser in its wording (I would recommend ONLY installing the main general driver, and none of that bloated extra crapware that in all likelyhood only serves to take up space). Windows 7 should do fine enough on its own in letting your printer know what to print, so to speak. Make sure it is set as your default printer, and try pressing the keyboard keys *Ctrl* and *P* at the same time. A window should pop up allowing you to select which printer to print to, and make sure you select the correct one. I had no problems using this method, let us know if you do (unless of course you are set on the 32 bit browser).
