please in external hard drive hello ladies and gents
i have over the last day emptyed my buffalo external 1tb drive this was so i could format it from FAT32 to NTSF and i formated it and now i can now see it other then in the device manager and in the computer manager where it says the drive is all unallocated space (see attachments) and wen i right click there is notting i can do with it.
i have had this hdd for about 7 months now and this is the first problem i have had with it and i would really like to get it working again so please help me im happy to post anyhting else can help

GEWB thanks for the tip but it will not test the hdd
theog please see the capture 3 thats the error i get wen i try to initalize the disk
FliGi7 i did it by opening it in my computer right clicking and going format ( full not fast)

Did you try the Buffalo Tech Forum? One similar post got this moderator reply:
"CRC errors typically indicate HDD failure. Make sure that you have a backup, then reformat the drive (NTFS is a good choice). If you continue to get the errors, you should get a replacement."

I know it'll take quite some time, but you could try a low-level format. It'll show you if it encounters errors during formatting. In diskpart from an elevated command window type these commands.
