Setting up Intel Smart Response

I have selected RAID(XHD) in BIOS, installed the OS (Win 7 Prof x64) and installed the intel Smart Response drivers - no problems, system is stable and seems to be working fine - except...

When I look at Drive C properties it states a volume size of only 37Mb.

I am linking a 400Mb HDD and a 20Gb iSSD.

I was under the impression that XHD/Smart Response would provide 400Mb capacity but use the iSSD as a fast cache. Is this not the case?
