Windows 7 - Missing Plug and Play Software Device Enumerator

| | Missing Plug and Play Software Device Enumerator My Computer: HP G60-235DX. Windows 7 64-Bit I was following another thread on this site but the problem was never resolved. Basically, I have no Plug and Play Software Device Enumerator under system devices in the device manager. This is causing problems with other things as well (im pretty certain the below problems are caused by the missing enumerator.  How can i reinstall it? I've tried to reinstall the chipset from HP but to no avail. |

| | First, try running the system file checker: run sfc /scannow from an elevated command prompt. If it throws up any missing files you'll most likely need to extract them from your Windows DVD. Second, if that doesn't work, you might want to carry out a repair install of Windows: Repair Install |
