    Nostromo driver error

I recently acquired a Razer Nostromo game pad. I initially installed it and all worked fine. In the usual process of messing around with my computer :) I have somehow lost the "configurator" program which allows you to assign functions to the various keys, buttons, etc. The configurator loads as part of the driver package, so I have been to the Razer download site and tried to reload the drivers but I can't because of a wierd error. Whenever I try to reinstall, remove, uninstall, repair, or modify the driver for this device I get the same error message which is :"Error 2753. The File "jdtop25.exe" is not marked for installation". This file doesn't come up when searching my computer with windows search, and there is no program of this name running in my taskmanager processes.

Razer technical support has "escalated my problem to the next tier" which I think means they don't have a clue...anyone out there know how to get around this and get the driver re-installed?

    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to Seven Forums glmiller3.

You could try Revo Uninstaller, link in my sig, to see if it will uninstall the razor software.
Or, Control Panel, Programs and Features, uninstall from there.
Or, Control Panel, Device Manager, find your device, right click it and Uninstall-Delete driver. Reboot and try reinstalling the software.

One more thing to try is use a restore point to before you installed the Razor software. Start orb, type System Restore | Enter and choose the correct point. diasable your AV temporarily to avoid restore conflicts.

well, I got this problem solved by using a different registry cleaner than the one I've been using. I was then able to remove and re-install the nostromo drivers.
