why do my touch pad settings revert everytime i turn off my computer

i have disabled my touchpad because i use a mouse. whenever i turn on my computer in the morning, the settings revert back and i have to do 1 of 2 things....

1. i pull out the usb cord to my mouse & it resets itself & if that doesnt work i...
2. have to go to main.cpl in the search box on the start menu. the thing is, i dont even have to change anything. i just go to that menu & it resets itself.

so my computer is acting weird & idk why. how do i make it so that this setting stays the way i set it & doesnt revert back to having the touch pad working?
