    Removable drive change

    Hi:

I recently noticed that when I attached my LG Thrive phone to my laptop to transfer videos that the drive letter designated is drive I: and it used to be designated as H:.

The phone is running Android 2.2.1 and has been rooted but even after rooting it was still drive letter H:. Can anyone tell me what may have caused the switch of drive letter designations? Thanks very much in advance.

It's nothing to worry about, Win 7 seems to name drives as it wishes.
Or maybe you had another drive plugged in that took the I:\?

Gary is right. That is purely coincidental.

You could change the driver letter for your phone to anything you want really, as long as another drive is not using the letter. Just use Disk Management if you want to assign your phone to H: again.
