I'm no expert on this but did you read thru this tutorial?

Windows Does Not Start After Sleep

I'll see what else I can find that may help until Golden or someone with more expertise shows up.

Try to help what I can.
Mike

Also here under Step 5 is suggested settings for Windows it self for different sleep modes.
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/778-power-plan-settings-change.html

1-4 is the how steps to set them.
I would double check to make sure everything is set properly in Windows.
As I outlined in my Post #5 in red it appears something is turned off or disabled that should be On or Enabled.
So it would appear to me anyway.

Sleep isn't enabled reading though your Post #4. Or at least SOME of the hardware isn't recognizing Sleep mode.
So it stays half asleep and half awake. Not very technical but the best description I can think of.

Need better help than I can provide.
I'll make a post over on the VIP for more help. I posted.

Sorry I couldn't help more.

Hi,

If you follow Step 5 in Brink's tutorial, do you see the Hybrid Sleep Setting = ON, as shown below?

cokerobot,
Set the motherboard back to the defaults and don't mess with them.

All sleep, etc settins can be controlled by Win 7.

True, set the bios to the defaults.

Now describe any problems you may have.

Hi Coke Robot. Go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Mouse\Hardware tab\Properties\Power Management tab, put a check mark in the box shown it the snip. That sould allow you mouse or keyboard, if USB, to wake the computer at least. Make sure your BIOS allows the S3 power state.
