No boot

Just a steady whirling of my vga (1 min) fan when i plug in. Won't make it to boot. Any ideas?

Has this computer work since the computer was in your possession?

Does it make it to BIOS?
Check CPU fan, check that hardware is correctly seated and check all cable connections inside and out of the case.

Had a poke around and didn't see anything unconnected. But, I'll have to check the seats on the slots and my cpu fan more closely.

Does it seem that the fans are spinning fast enough to keep things cool?

It's just the vga fan that's spinning when I plug in. Normally it does it for a few seconds and then cuts back to normal and the com starts up. Now just a blinking light and a out of control vga fan when i plug in...never posts.
