    800 mhz DDR2 and 667 mhz DDR2 in the same pc?


    Hi guys a quick question, is it possible to have 2 GB DDR2 800mhz and 1 GB DDR2 667 mhz in the same pc?:)
    here's the link to the pc, im thinking about
    ASRock > Products > Nettop Series > ION 330

    Yes, but the DDR2 800 will clock down to the DDR2 667 speed, so they will all run on that specified speed of 667mhz, non dual channel.

    I would double check that there's enough slots on the board also. I just relooked over the page and it says 1GB-800x2. Normally the ION boards only have two memory slots so I would check to see if it has 3 or more.

    Edit: Just checked what it looks like inside and they're only two slots in the motherboard, so you wont be able to add any more ram to whats in there. And for an ION platform 2GB is plenty.

    On my P45 UD3P mobo it allows for this. It will run each set of different sticks at there max speed even when overclocking.

    Ummm that video shows 2 slots how to you figure it has 4?.

    Go to www.crucial.com, and it will scan your pc and tell what it has, and what you can add. It will also tell you how many slots you have free or used.
