    Codeword,
    I took a break.

The first thing to do is to make a full system image backup.

In the backup window where you specify which "drives" , you select all of the ones from your failing drive including any system, recovery, or whatever.

Do not make a data backup. Why you ask. Well that system image backup has all of your data. The system image backup has everything.

This is the tutorial which you want to follow to make a system image backup.

    Codeword,
forgive me but a small matter has come up and it will be 4-24 hours before I can get back to you. Any of the chaps out there like GregRocker or BareFootKid who are experts in you overall objective, if you are lurking, then please jump in.

    sorry about the delay.
