    EXCELLENT!

The wait is time very well spent.

Think about how long you have been trying to fix this problem and the time that many others have put in trying to help.

I guarantee you we will all very gladly wait for each and every drive to receive a full scan.
Thanks. Appreciate all the help guys.

Maybe too early to ask, but say one finds malware on their drive that has been eating up drive space and then removes the malware; what happens to the space the malware was eating up? Is it gone forever or does it come back after the malware is removed?

    Sounds good.

I know there have people popping in and out of this thread probably waiting for an update from this scan. It's probably gonna take AT LEAST another hour before it's done. :)

I haven't been poping in and out. I have read every post. I want to get to the root of the cause as much as anyone, and want to know the answers. It appears that Karl is on the right track. But, don't think I have gone anywhere.

Scan finally finished. It picked up 2 items at "medium/low risk" and only 1 item in my C: but it's a false positive. It's listed as a hacktool keeping my MS Office activated. Probably why Malwarebytes skipped over it.

    Was worth a try!

It is NOT a false positive.

The file has been corrupted/altered. Delete the file immediately!

    After the deletion,
post back a new startup.txt file, assuming that you have followed the advice I gave previously.

How can you tell it has been corrupted/altered? My MS Office is a downloaded copy and this is the file associated with it through my google findings on it.

I just want to confirm before I delete it.

Thanks again for all the help.

    such links as:
Used Microsoft Office Activator Beta 1,2 or 3+? VIRUS! AutoKMS.exe [Please Read] - Printable Version

    Kaspersky Lab Forum > PDM.Keylogger

    https://forums.malwarebytes.org/inde...howtopic=76447

These links would give one the impression that you have downloaded and installed some illegal cracked software and / or using some very questionable torrent sites.

I'm not saying this is true, just what the links indicate.

    Now after deleting,
    unfortunately,
It is IMPERATIVE that you run the Standalone System Sweeper again, but this time a quick scan should be sufficient since the infected areas are areas that the system sweeper will scan during a normal scan.

I deleted the faulty file and ran a QUICK SCAN. It took only a few minutes this time and nothing popped up when the scan finished. No log was created from the quick scan either. Only the previous log from the full scan still remains.

Here is the startup file as requested.

ZyngaGamesAgent, STCagent, and Adobebridge were all deselected from the startup menu, but it still defaults to being added in the startup lineup.

    What's next?
