Hi
All 7 forum members
I have a dell xps 430 in the bios it says,
Ram 6.0 GB total
1066 MHz
dual symmetric
DDR3 sdram
Dimm 1.2 GB
---- 3.1 GB
---- 2.2 GB
---- 4.1 GB
CPU-Z says
pc3-85oof {533 MHz}
I am thinking about going to 8 GB total PC3-10600 DDR3 1333 MHZ .
I have read somewhere that this will work, i know i will have to remove
all of the ram i have now because it is clocked at 1066 MHz
will this bring my windows score of 7.1 up to about 7.3 or better ?
and would this not {deactivate} my windows if i do this ?
I have never added any new hardware to my system .
But at the same time i want to go to a better CPU what I now is,
Processor 1 ID = 0

Number of threads 4 (max 4)

i really have no idea about what CPU i can get for my xps 430 to make it better than what it is now ,
the bigger the better is what i want to go to !

my score for it is 7.1 .
Doing 2 upgrades just might deactivate windows so i will do the ram first and Waite for awhile to do the CPU if you think my windows will stay {active} i will do the 2 upgrades !
I hate to call MS to get WINDOWS working again !!

Your Help would be wonderful!
Thanks for NOW !!
