Samsung Optical Drive FW update - strange problem

Only the other day I was trying to update the firmware of my Samsung Optical drive. I downloaded the exe file from the Samsung website. When run, one gets the main Window and a caution dialog box. The OK button at the bottom of the caution dialog box was totally inaccessible and cutoff. . So I could not click on it to proceed with the update. Neither "ENTER" nor "CTRL+Enter" would work. I had to invoke the Task Manager to close the program.

After scratching my head for sometime, I decided to download the exe file from some other website and try. I could just see the top edge of the "OK" dialog box - see the hand symbol in the screenshot - and managed to click on it to complete the flashing.

Now the question is

1. Why does this happen?

2. What is to be done to bring out that invisible OK tab?

(The resolution of my display is 1280 x 1024 (native))
