Windows 7 - External Microsoft keyboard locks both laptop keyboard and itself.

External Microsoft keyboard locks both laptop keyboard and itself.

I was not sure where to put this question.

I had a virus that I cleaned up and had several problems afterwards that I eventually got fixed except this one.

I am a dell laptop in a docking station running a couple of monitors and a wireless Microsoft keyboard.

I can type on the laptops keyboard but the moment I type in the wireless keyboard I here "ding" at each character and then the laptops keyboard does the same thing.

After this happens each time I try and open a webpage it saves it instead of opening it.

I can reboot to gain the use of the keyboard again.

I used this computer for work and I can type much faster on the wireless keyboard so this really slows me down.

I have uninstalled the intellipoint stuff and reinstalled it but that does not help any.

Anyone know how I can fix this. I have searched for this issue and cannot find where anyone else has had the same problem.

Thanks
