After installing Windows7 Ultimate,the DVD RW does not read any dvd either music or application.
I have HP Pavillion dv6000 notebook.
I already uninstalled the driver and reinstalled again but does not work,can you help,thanks

I searched Google for Pavilion dv6000 but the driver page did not list Win7 drivers. You might uninstall it again and reboot and see if Win7 has a generic built-in driver.
Could you tell me whether this issue began immediately after installing W7, or did it begin after installing all the updates?
Also, was this a clean install or an upgrade install? Upgrade over XP or Vista?
It was a clean install of Window 7 then I try to install Office and did not read the disk or anyother one ,
And you installed W7 with the DVD?
A few things to check/try:
- Check Windows Update and look in the Optional Updates and see if you are offered a CDROM driver.
- Go to Device Manager, select the DVD drive, and Remove/Uninstall it. Then reboot.
- Run System File Checker. SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
