AverMedia DVD EZmaker USB Gold not working on Windows 7 64 bit My girlfriend has recently decided to start streaming videos on the net. She was using a Dazzle 100 for the first couple days with no problems, then suddenly every time she would connect it, it would attempt to redownload the drivers. And when trying to use it, she would receive a "product being used by another program" error. After spending an entire day searching for a solution, I discovered that it was a common Dazle 100 problem with Windows 7, and we gave up and decided to purchase an Avermedia DVD Ezmaker Gold, which is listed on windows compatibility checklist as compatible with Windows 7 64 bit. The product arrived in the mail, and after first being connected, gave a "driver error" message. When the drivers finally installed, attempts to use the product are met with no video or audio feed by the program that came with it, and a "check to see that its working properly and not in use" and "parameter is incorrect" error on third party software. A driver check from the computer manufacturers site says all the drivers are up to date.
SO, my question to anyone that can help is, what exactly are we doing wrong, or what needs to be fixed? We are both at our wits end with this. Any possible fix would be GREATLY appreciated as I have no idea what it could be. | My System Specs |

When you say you looked it up and it said compatible, did you check to see if it had the Win 7 Logo?
At the compatibility site, you will find two levels of compatibility. Unfortunately, for the first level, then all a mfg has to do is claim his product is compatible. With the logo, then Microsoft has blessed the product.
Is the product logoed?
Have you visited the mfg's weibsite? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Toshiba Satellite S875D-S7239 laptop OS MS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit CPU AMD A10-4600M Motherboard AMD Pumori (Socket FT1) Memory 6.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz (11-11-12-28) Graphics Card AMD Radeon HD 7660G Sound Card High Definition Audio Device Monitor(s) Displays Generic PnP Monitor (1600x900@60Hz) Screen Resolution 1600x900@60Hz Keyboard Standard PS/2 Keyboard Mouse HP Wireless Optical Mobile Mouse Model FHA-3410 Hard Drives SSD 119GB Corsair CSSD-V128GB2 ATA Device Internet Speed What the local pub, local coffee shop offers.
