Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

The hotfix that fixed it for me was KB976972. It was online for a while but then taken down again. I've just tried and its back again so there must have bene some glitch with it that they've since resolved again.

I would recommend that one.

USb devices stop working
Hey guys/girls Im having a slight issue with one of my machines I cant track down the cause. My USB mouse and keyboard will randomly stop working. After a reboot they work fine for a few minutes then they will stop functioning. We have tried drivers and chipset drivers. any other Ideas?

USB ports stop working w/ too many devices
My setup: Acer Aspire with Windows 7 Ultimate w/ the latest Windows updates 4gb of Ram Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Don't think that much more is relevant. I use a usb wireless device on my computer and if only it and my keyboard are plugged into the usb ports it seems to work fine.
