| | Retrieving Data from Old Hard Drive Im attempting to retrieve my data on my old hard drive. I have an external usb sata connector. When I attempted to open the drive I was given this message : G:\ is not accessible. Access is denied. After looking around the web, I tried to take ownership of it but I have not prevailed in accessing the hard drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

| | Welcome I would try two ways First, I would try with the hidden adminstrator, if that does not work, I would use Ubuntu. Built-in Administrator Account - Enable or Disable[2]=User Accounts http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windo...dows-computer/ Although the Ubuntu link gives instructions on how to back up, once installed it can be used in various ways. |
