[Reccomendation needed] The best HDD brand for laptops is... Hi there people!
I'm planning on replacing my current HDD in my laptop, currently I have a WD Scorpio Blue 250 GB SATA-II 5400 RPM... I'm trying to go after something, of 500 GB and 7200 RPM (something faster than 5400)... Which brand is the best for you guys, or at least, which would you recommend?
Thanks for your answers

Here is a list of 7200 RPM laptop drives at Newegg. If you can't order from Newegg, you can at least use this list for reference purposes: Newegg.com - Computer Hardware, Hard Drives, Laptop Hard Drives, 7200 RPM
I'd generally lean toward Western Digital or Samsung. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Ignatz Special; 4 speed manual gearbox; factory air conditioning; one of one OS Windows 7 SP1, Home Premium, 64-bit CPU Intel Sandy Bridge i5-2500, not overclocked Motherboard Gigabyte H67A-UD3H-B3, full ATX Memory 4 GB Crucial DDR3-1333 Graphics Card none; graphics are integrated on CPU Sound Card onboard: Realtek ALC892; external: USB Behringer UF0-202 Monitor(s) Displays NEC 90GX2-BK 19" LCD Screen Resolution 800 x 640 Keyboard Leopold Tenkeyless with Cherry Blue switches, USB Mouse Logitech or Microsoft optical wired; either USB or PS 2 PSU Seasonic SS-560KM, modular Case Antec Solo II Cooling CPU: Scythe Big Shuriken; Case: Scythe Slipstream 800 & 500 Hard Drives System: Intel 320 Series SSD, 80 GB;

Western Digital is the best choice. Number one priority of a HDD is dependability, and WD is the most reliable. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Acer Aspire 8940g OS Windows 7 CPU Core I7 |

Well, I've had 2 WD drives fail within about a year, this was 4-5 years ago. Since then I have used both Samsung and Seagate. After the bad 7200-1 Seagate line, they seem to be "back". My Pc drive is Seagate and I have one in an enclosure.
