How do I redirect an USB port?

    Hi all,

    Here is my problem:

I have an application to control external devices via IRDA.

The application only accepts IRDA connected via a serial port.

    I only have a USB-IRDA device.

    My question is:

Is there any freeware driver/software to create a virtual serial port and link it with the USB device?.

    Thanks in advanced.

    Enrique

You can create a virtual port within Windows. However I have not used it in over a year so I don't know the steps. A quick search on google you should be able to find a guide. I think you can have a port on your computer to point the hardware port to another location.

I am not sure what you are trying to do but I hope I helped.
