Hi,
I have an Oki C5100n laser printer which will work with Windows 7 x64 with the C5150
driver installed. It worked perfectly before my BSOD which I had to do a full recovery for as if the computer arrived today. I did all my reinstalls and the only thing that won't work is the Oki printer. My Canon wireless printer works just fine. Oki support said they believe it has something to do with Windows spooling. There are no files in Windows\System32|spool\Printers folder. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and
driver several times.
Also, I don't know if this could be related but for some reason when I try to "Quit Skype", the Windows\System32\ folder opens automatically. I know that should not be happening. It happened before the recovery also.
The recovery was necessary for a file called: ntoskrnl.exe which I could locate but not do anything about. I had followed all of Windows solutions for the repair and the Acer tech had me start over.
Now, I had attempted an initial thread post for this problem yesterday (stating the first paragraph) and followed the recommendation to eliminate the files in the spool directory, which there were none. However, when I tried to reply to the thread by signing into Windows Live (from my icon), it said before I could proceed I had to upload the newer version which was unsuccessful in uploading. So, therefore I was unable to reply to that post. Ugh! I'm so frustrated! I've spend a solid week trying to repair my computer and that is an entire week lost of work.
I would appreciate any help you could provide!
Thank you!!!
