SSD Set Up Help

OK, i just got all of my new components for my new build yesterday and I have just finished putting it together. Now I am at the point to install Windows 7 onto my new SSD. However I want to set-up the bios correctly for the drive before proceeding. I have updated the firmware of the SSD already to v1.3. I am using the Marvell PCIe 9182 controller on the motherboard since it is designed to optimize SSD. The things I need yet are the following:

What drivers sould I use for the SSD and where do I find them. I have read that the Intel drivers are the best.

What Bios setting should I select for the SSD.

What is the registry hack to change the default installation location for programs to point to the D drive.

In order to change the default installation directory, please change the following in the registry.

To change the registry, follow these steps:
1. Start Registry Editor by entering “Regedit” in the search All programs.
2. Locate the following:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
3. Right click on the value named ProgramFilesDir & change the default value C:\Program Files to the path you want to install all your programs in.
4. Click OK and Exit.

Windows, by default, will now install your programs in the new drive or path.

The Marvell controller does not support TRIM, however, you can still use GC.

For the best performance I found using the Intel SATA III 6GB controller to work the best with all of the SSD drives I have tested. Just make sure you have the latest chipset, Intel Management Eng, and SATA drivers installed and you will be off to the races

I got a Corsair Force Series GT CSSD-F60GBGT-BK. It is 60GB. Thanks for telling me the no TRIM support. I will just move my 2 x Western Digital Caviar Black Sata III 750GB (Raid 0) to the Marvell Controller. I have not installed Windows yet. I plan on doing so tonight. I have just been going around in the BIOS and seeing whats new.

Also it seems that we almost have the same build.
