Flash drive Formatting need help!!!!

I have this flash drive I had it for a couple of years and it was working fine until recently. The problem is when I copy files anything on this flash drive it gets write protected. I tried formatting it it works everything on flash drive gets deleted. After formatting I copy files on the flash drive and the same thing happens over and over again. Is there any way to fix this? there is no switch on the flash drive I looked for it and didn't find it.

It didn't but thanks anyway. I actually found something that worked I formatted my flash drive it worked unplugged the flash drive plugged it in again and its "write protected" I read somewhere that flash drives can be formatted until some point, after which formatting wont work anymore could this be true?

Yes it is true! They have limited write cycles.
Sometimes they fail very soon.

One of my friend faced similar problems with a recently bought 16GB flash drive and he has to throw it away as he lost the purchase receipt. He could not return it for warranty replacement.

Usually companies replace it within the warranty period.

I know this is solved but did you try to clean it with diskpart then format it either in diskpart or disk management?
