CoolDude,
It's time for you to fully fluff out those system specs and here is how:
Update your SevenForums System Specs
User CP (3rd item in the top menu bar) |
Your Profile | Edit System Spec
(left-hand column)

To gather info, use SIW or Speccy or System Info

Add the word laptop or desktop or netbook to the
“system manufacturer” block, for example,
Toshiba Satellite L305D notebook.

Provide full windows version info, for example:
MS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader,
Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor, etc

Scroll down and click on the SAVE CHANGES button.

Firefox is the very latest version, I may just totally uninstall it. See what happens then.

I've turned on the action center as well.

by using either Speccy or SIW you can really expand that info.

Do you use the WOT extension, if so then disable and see if your FF usage drops.

Okay system specs have been updated.

And no I don't use any extensions at all, I also only have one plug-in which is the flash plug-in.

I ran the CCleaner, still got the same weird problem.

You can leave FireFox installed, but switch to using Internet Explorer and see how your cpu usage runs.

RESMON's CPU tab will show what is using what % of cpu time.

Just used the resmon and it's all over the place but I took a screenshot of one of the moments, lots of things take turns going up really high.

Also, using a different browser doesn't help. Chrome behaves the exact same way, which is weird. It never did this before, so I don't know whats going on.

I know it's a software problem because the system recovery fixed it for a while, ugh

It's just running extremely high considering how good it was a while back. The laptop is by no means bad either, it's more than capable at running a few programs.

I consider myself to be a pretty self sufficient person, yet when it comes to my laptop I am completely lost. there are so many things going on, I almost feel like it would be better to just take it in but am too stubborn to do so. Not to mention a fear I have of trusting anyone with my computer...

Is it alright if I leave my Wifi switch on all the time?
The title basically spells it out. I would like to know if leaving my WiFi switch on my laptop on all the time is a bad idea? Would I see any performance hit because my system is constantly looking for a WiFi signal? :geek:

Frustrated
I received my Asus UL30A-X5 machine today, loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium. This is my replacement as I had a loose battery issue on the last. I love Windows 7. My machine as a SD card reader. On the last, it worked great. On this one, when I insert the card into the machine,...
