XFX ATI Radeon 6970 Vs NVIDIA GTX580

Which is better?

Gigabyte NVIDIA GTX 580 - Price £282.14
GIGABYTE NVIDIA GTX580 GRAPHICS CARD

XFX ATI Radeon 6970 - Price £274.99
880MHz 2GB PCI-Express 2.1 HDMI

Don't have a great knowledge on comps so any help would be appreciated.

Hey bud,

Where did you find GTX 580 for £282??

That is a bargain price if its new? Cheapest I can find is around the £350 mark.

Can't say I have ever heard of that company. Have you used them before?

The website seems a bit "broken" pics failing to load and very slow.

They have most 580's on there for £380 so I don't know why that one is £100 less.

Not used them before. A friend linked me to it so I decided to have it compared to the 2GB 6970 on this forum as I am not really knowledgable on comps.

The 580 is the better of the 2 cards have a look at this review of a 6970 - ATI Radeon HD 6970 2GB Review | bit-tech.net , use the drop down menu and navigate to the game tests, it shows how it compares to the 580 and the 580 comes out on top by a long way on most of them.

I don't think I have heard a bad word about 580's.
