HP 2000-210US 15.6" Intel Pentium P6200 Charcoal Gray Notebook
My niece is looking for a laptop for her son possibly for a holiday gift. Office Depot has this machine for $299.00 after $50.00 rebate, and being considered the nerd of the family they always ask me, but I am not familiar with this processor. He just started high school and would be doing some homework, browsing the net, and if any, light gaming on the laptop. He does his gaming on his Xbox 360 at this time. So unlike me who is big into MS Flight Simulator and pc programs like this, he does not do any kind of things like this on their existing old home computer. What about heat issues? And I am sure the ram could be upgraded but almost sure there is no need for his purposes.
Here are the specs:
"HP - Notebook - 15.6 inch - 3 GB RAM - Windows 7 - 320 GB disk - Intel CPU - 2.13 GHz CPU - With DVD Drive - 1366 x 768 - Widescreen - 5.5 pound - 4 hour battery
The Pavilion 2000-210US 15.6 Notebook Computer from Hewlett-Packard is a 15.6 notebook computer that weighs about five and a half pounds. The computer's 16:9 widescreen display features LED backlight technology for superior image quality and enhanced energy efficiency. The system is powered by a dual-core 2.13GHz Intel Pentium P6200 CPU and boasts 3GB of RAM a 320GB 5400rpm hard drive a SuperMulti DVD burner Bluetooth 2.0+EDR 802.11n Wi-Fi and integrated Intel GMA HD graphics. Windows 7 Home Premium with Service Pack 1 (64-bit) is the installed operating system."
Anyone familiar with this type of processor over an AMD or other Intel processors?
Any information I would appreciate!
Thanks,
