Those do seem a little high. I would suggest you checking your CPU cooler and make sure it is properly attached and the fans are turning and are not clogged with dust. If necessary, I would remove the cooler, remove all thermal paste and apply new good quality paste. Those temps should be lower in a case with good airflow and I would not run the CPU real hard until you get to the bottom of it. If you decide to reapply the thermal paste, I use high purity alcolol and a coffee filter. If you need help applying new paste, maybe this will help. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Brew - Always under construction OS Windows 7 X64 Professional/Windows 8 CPU intel i7-2600K Motherboard Asus P8Z68 V-Pro/GEN 3 Memory 8GB G.Skill Sniper DDR3-2133 (2X4GB) Graphics Card EVGA 670 2GB Sound Card Asus Xonar Monitor(s) Displays Asus 24" LCD VW246H Screen Resolution 1920X1080 Keyboard Logitech G510 Mouse Logitech G500/Logitech Wireless PSU CORSAIR HX850W Case Cooler Master HAF X Cooling Corsair H100 w/ 4 noctua fans in push/pull. I installed the motherboards software AI Suite II 1.00.26 and this software auto ran after it installed and asked if I wanted to run a system auto tuning to test the system performance. After a restart is when the temps went up not sure why
It showed after a restart that I gained a 19% CPU system performance gain not sure what that means lol
I used this software to update the BIOS at the same time. The temp's just went down to 39C to 40C but the computer seems alot faster then before the auto tuning. Does anyone know what the Auto tuning is for? I didn't stay in front of the computer when the auto tuning was running I stepped out for 20 minutes. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom built OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP1 retail CPU AMD FX-6100 Zambezi 3.3GHz Socket AM3+ OC to 4.01GHz Motherboard ASUS M5A97 AM3+ AMD 970 Memory 8GB Kingston HyperX Genesis KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX 1600MHz Graphics Card XFX HD-577A-ZNFC Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) 1GB GDDR5 Sound Card 7.1 channel dolby digital Monitor(s) Displays LG Flatron E2241 Super Full HD LED 22 inch Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Logitech Wave Mouse Microsoft comfort mouse 4500 with BlueTrack Technology PSU Cooler Master Silent Pro M 700W power supply Case Enermax Uber Chakra ECA5000 Cooling 2 120mm fans, Cooler Master V6 dual 120mm fans, 1 80mm fan Hard Drives Western Digital wd20ears Caviar Green 2tb sata2

The "19% CPU system performance gain" was probably due to the auto tuning software overclocking your CPU, which is why it is running a little hotter. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self OS Main - Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-Bit; 2nd - Windows Server 2008 R2 CPU Main - Core i7 2600K; 2nd - Core i7 920 Motherboard Main - Asus P8Z68-V Pro/Gen3; 2nd - Gigabyte GA-EX58-UDR3 Memory Main - 16GB Corsair Vengeance; 2nd - 12GB Corsair Vengeance Graphics Card Main - XFX Radeon 6870 1GB; 2nd - XFX Radeon 4870 1GB Sound Card Both: Onboard Realtek Azalia Monitor(s) Displays Main - Hann 25" + I-INC 25" + Acer 23"; 2nd - Upgrading Soon Screen Resolution Main - 1920x1080 (All Three Monitors); 2nd - Upgrading Soon Keyboard Main - Razer Reclusa; 2nd - Old MS Keyboard Mouse Main - Logitech MX Revolution; 2nd - Old MS Mouse PSU Main - OCZ 600W Modular; 2nd - OCZ 600W Case Main - Thermaltake Element G; 2nd - NZXT something or other Cooling Main - Corsair H80; 2nd - Prolimatech Megahalems Hard Drives Main - (1) Crucial M4 128GB (Boot)

I just used ASUS Fan Xpert and set the fan speed to turbo and now the temp's went down to 34C to 36C idle
Yes your right I checked the processors speed through AI Suite II 1.00.26 software and it's showing the processor is running at 3.79GHz after the system performance gain that's why it's faster also after changing the fan setting all system fans are running faster RPM's then before. Also I changed the side case fan around to blow into the computer and that seemed to help with the temp's. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom built OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP1 retail CPU AMD FX-6100 Zambezi 3.3GHz Socket AM3+ OC to 4.01GHz Motherboard ASUS M5A97 AM3+ AMD 970 Memory 8GB Kingston HyperX Genesis KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX 1600MHz Graphics Card XFX HD-577A-ZNFC Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) 1GB GDDR5 Sound Card 7.1 channel dolby digital Monitor(s) Displays LG Flatron E2241 Super Full HD LED 22 inch Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Logitech Wave Mouse Microsoft comfort mouse 4500 with BlueTrack Technology PSU Cooler Master Silent Pro M 700W power supply Case Enermax Uber Chakra ECA5000 Cooling 2 120mm fans, Cooler Master V6 dual 120mm fans, 1 80mm fan Hard Drives Western Digital wd20ears Caviar Green 2tb sata2

That's a pretty nice overclock for stock cooling and a one-click tweak. I ran stress tests to check if it's stable and so far it's very stable. I would never have got it over clocked that far with the heatsink and fan that came with this processor very cheap and it couldn't even handle cooling the processor when it was unlocked to a quad core not counting over clocking lol | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom built OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP1 retail CPU AMD FX-6100 Zambezi 3.3GHz Socket AM3+ OC to 4.01GHz Motherboard ASUS M5A97 AM3+ AMD 970 Memory 8GB Kingston HyperX Genesis KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX 1600MHz Graphics Card XFX HD-577A-ZNFC Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) 1GB GDDR5 Sound Card 7.1 channel dolby digital Monitor(s) Displays LG Flatron E2241 Super Full HD LED 22 inch Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Logitech Wave Mouse Microsoft comfort mouse 4500 with BlueTrack Technology PSU Cooler Master Silent Pro M 700W power supply Case Enermax Uber Chakra ECA5000 Cooling 2 120mm fans, Cooler Master V6 dual 120mm fans, 1 80mm fan Hard Drives Western Digital wd20ears Caviar Green 2tb sata2

I do find it weird that Windows will only show the stock CPU speed and I have to use third party software to see the real speed after the overclock.
