1600Mhz Ram Set to run @ 1333 by Bios

Ok, this is probably a common problem with easy solution but i'm a noob so be kind.

When MY system boots, the Bios shows the Ram running @ 1333Mhz and not 1600. When I go into the Bios, it states RAm @ 1600Mhz and comes up with a message saying something about instability and knocking down the ram frequency but the only instability I have had is from games, the OS works great.

How do I set the RAm frequency back to 1600Mhz and stop the Bios setting it back to 1333Mhz.

Thanks

AW.

Problem solved, all i needed to do was change something in Bios and save the CMOS, now back up to 1600Mhz.

Good.

If you didn't set the RAM frequency by using an XMP profile, check the voltage and timings as well to make sure that they're at the specified values, if you want the memory to be stable.
